Our Story
Box Cafe is centered around the arts in every way possible. Located in Jersey City Heights since 2021, our unique dining room, ambiance and French Cafe playlist sets the mood to take one off the city street into a different world. Our menu is focused on quality and the method of cooking simple ingredients with just the right amount of flair. We are BYOB, so bring a favorite bottle of wine and come relax. Box Cafe was born out of a husband and wife’s love for creative baking and cooking from the heart, most of which has taken place in Jersey City - our home for almost 25 years! Our passion to live, work and play in our beloved neighborhood led us to funnel our creative energy into Box Cafe.
We are event based, having Birthchart readings, Psychic Medium nights, and Private events of all sorts, Anniversaries, Birthdays, Baby Showers, Retirement Parties. We are now offering Speed Dating nights, and our Friday Dinners have hosted all sorts of local musicians. Every last Sunday of each month, we offer an upscale 5 course Chef Dinner from 6pm-8pm, RSVP.
We serve coffee and desserts and are a laptop free cafe. Box Cafe is not a traditional “workplace” cafe.
